Ian Tomlinson case handed to CPS

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has handed a file on the death of Ian Tomlinson to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). This means that the officer responsible for the assault, who works for the Met’s Territorial Support Group (TSG or CO20), could finally face a criminal prosecution.

Hopefully the overwhelming amount of video evidence and extensive eyewitness testaments will ensure justice for Ian.
