Marmite Mayor Stopped In His Tracks – Again :-D

March 31, 2010

Mayor Davies’ plans to cut down hundreds of trees on Doncaster Common have been postponed yet again – this time Forestry Commission has stepped in.

The borough’s top legal officers have been advised against measures which would effectively lead to the deforestation on Doncaster Common. If the council proceeds with its plans to cut down the trees without conducting the necessary impact assessment survey then they would almost certainly face legal action.

Once again our Mayor has demonstrated that he is not up to the job (albeit a job that should never have existed in the first place). And once again the Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC) has also completely failed the people that it is supposed to serve .

How long do we have to put up with the incompetence of the Mayor and the consistent failures of our council? Doncaster has suffered for too long, surely  it’s time for something new!
